Tyler joined Antares Capital in 1996 as a founding member and serves as Chief Investment Officer. He is responsible for overseeing the firm’s investment strategy and portfolio management activities. He also serves on the Antares Capital Advisers Investment Committee and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.
Previously, Tyler was a senior credit executive for the Commercial Lending business of Antares’ predecessor firm, GE Capital, where his responsibilities included leading underwriting, account management, portfolio management, and risk management processes. Prior to that, he served as Chief Risk Officer of Specialized Finance, with responsibility for Healthcare Financial Services and Franchised Finance, and as Chief Credit Officer of the Telecommunications, Media and Technology group. Earlier in his career, Tyler spent seven years with Heller Financial, Inc.
Tyler holds an A.B. in Economics from Dartmouth College, where he graduated cum laude, and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
